EXERCISE! LEARNING! FUN!
SEE GO BANANAS DANCING IN ACTION IN EVENTS AROUND TOWN:
We love to participate in events like the Falls Church Annual Recital, Hip Hop dancing in the halftime show at the Harlem Globetrotters game at the Verizon Center in DC, and marching in the Arlington County Fair Parade!
See a group of our Pre-Ballet students (ages 3-6) and Tap students (ages 6-9) onstage in DANCE THROUGH LIFE, a multi-generational performance to celebrate dancing at every age!
ABOUT THE DANCE PROGRAM
GO BANANAS Dancing LLC was established in 2009 by Susannah Keefe as an enrichment program in local preschools providing classes in Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet. Over the years we have grown--and so have our students! Currently, we teach over 25 classes per week including Ballet, Tap and Hip Hop & Jazz, and most classes are offered through the Parks & Recreation Department in Arlington, Virginia.
We focus on FUN and give kids the opportunity to exercise from head to toe to get the large muscle activity that is so critical to their development. We practice important life skills like listening, following directions and taking turns. Our routines are geared towards helping our students boost their self-esteem and understand rhythm and musicality.
The goal of our early Ballet program is to create a welcoming, non-competitive environment that allows children to try Ballet before they take the next step into the serious, highly structured classes for ages 7 and up at Ballet studios. With GO BANANAS Dancing, kids truly get to experience the joy of dance!
